Suagr River in Spring

Nestled in the Sugar River valley, carved by the last glacier, our conservation community allows you to live with the beauty of nature—right outside your own door.

The Vision for a Conservation Community

The vision for Sugar River Crossing began with rural Town of Albany/Brooklyn neighbors sharing a concern for responsible land use.  Driven by the desire to assure an environmentally responsible settlement, the rural neighbors came together to create a unique new development —nothing like it exists in the area, or the state. Come enjoy Sugar River Crossing where nature is as near as a relaxing stroll through the restored native prairie, woodlands and wetlands that provide shelter and habitat to birds, butterflies and other wildlife. Canoe or fish the Sugar River, or enjoy a late night campfire while you view the constellations and maybe a few shooting stars. Sugar River Crossing—there’s nothing like it! Come see for yourself.
